Become a Family Teacher: Family Home Services
You can make it possible for an adult with an intellectual or developmental disability to live a richer, more meaningful life. As a family teacher, advocate and friend to an individual who needs you. We are seeking committed, caring and experienced Family Teacher Couples to embark on this unique relationship, that develops between you and your partner and the individual with whom you share a home is at the heart of our programs success. Our Family Teachers feel a great pride and satisfaction by helping individuals -– but the real reward is the joy this relationship brings to each person’s life.
Become a Family Mentor: Family Home Services
The Family Mentor contributes to the safety and security of the person and to improve in the individual’s quality of life by providing opportunities for participation in community activities. Family Mentors will provide a safety net where clients are informed of any need for changes and assistance. Family Mentors provide links to others in the community. Family Mentor’s advocate on behalf of the person when necessary. Family Mentors will provide necessary support to the Family Teachers and to each other in expertise, encouragement, ideas, planning and assistance in the community. Family Mentors provide security and a sense of relief for family members. Family Mentors spend time with the person planning, dreaming, socializing and having fun. Positions are for weekends and awake overnights. The Family Mentor is an essential member of the Family Home team.
Become a Family Home Manager: Family Home Services
The Family Home Manager is responsible for the overall management, health and well being of the “Family Home”. The FH Manager will manage, train and support Family Teachers. Provide leadership on all matters of Continuous Quality Improvement and Person Centered Planning. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree plus a Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in innovative residential services supporting individuals who have challenging behaviors. Or 5 years minimum of supporting individuals in a program in a management role; must be multi-task oriented, a dynamic trainer, motivated self starter, flexible, interested in personal and professional growth, and comfortable and effective working within a team process.
Become a Community Support Worker: Supported Living & Community Integrated Day Services
The Community Support Worker provides individualized support, training, problem solving, companionship, guidance and assistance in activities in everyday living to one or more persons with the diagnosis of intellectual disability or similar need. This position requires an ability to work effectively with people who have disabilities, while being sensitive to needs, preferences and feelings. The candidate must also have the skills and ability to work with all stakeholders; agency staff, support team, family members and community members. With the ability to work autonomously as well as with the team is essential skill for this position. Do you have what it takes?
Case Coordinator: Supported Living Services
Becoming a Case Coordinator in Supported Living requires leadership, innovation, exceptional time and organizational skills with a strong desire to make a difference in people’s lives and provide hands on mentoring, support and teaching to your staff team. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree plus a Minimum of 3 years relevant experience supporting individuals who have challenging behaviors Preferably in both Supported Living and Vocational Services. Or 5 years minimum of supporting individuals in a program in a management role; must be multi-task oriented, a dynamic trainer, motivated self starter, flexible, interested in personal and professional growth, and comfortable and effective working within a team process.
